What do I do?

  • I see patients under the age of 18 with emotional, behavioural, communication or relationship difficulties. The types of problem I see most often are:-

Difficulties with attention and/or overactivity, particularly when attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is suspected

Problems with social interaction, including autistic spectrum disorders.

    Obsessive-compulsive disorder

    Tic disorders and Tourette’s syndrome

    Depression and anxiety

Problems with self-organisation, especially when associated with dyspraxia

Children who have received various assessments and diagnoses, whose problems need clarifying or medication reviewed

  • Initial full 3 hour assessment for new patients will cost £1500.00. This includes a 1.5 hour discussion with parents about the concerns and a 1.5 hour assessment of the child. In addition, the assessment involves questionnaires for parents, young person and the school as well as an online cognitive test battery. The questionnaires help to quatify the range and severity of problems and the cognitive test battery maps out the profile in various cognitive domains. The fee includes the cost of questionnaires, time for report and letter reading and writing.

New patient assessments are done in 2 stages. The first stage is a Zoom call with the parents on a Wednesday morning. The second stage is a meeting with the young person on the day after - a thursday morning.

If you wish to seek an assessment please complete the new patient enquiry form. Please be aware that I may not accept an assessment request, if I feel that I am not the best person to assist. Please also note that if I do accept a request for an assessment, you will need to obtain a referral note form your GP.

  • Review appointments are charged at £500 for an hours consultation and £250 for a 30 minute appointment. Reviews can be done remotely via Zoom or in person (face to face).
